Award-Winning Content Editing
Since I dedicated a page of my portfolio specifically to my commerce work, I wanted to be sure to showcase some important pieces of historical content, "how-to" content, and good-old-fashioned news content that I've written as well.
Award-Winning Historical Content
I've written and edited thousands of commerce articles in my career, but I've also had the privilege of working on some important pieces of historical content, "how-to" content, and good-old-fashioned news content as well. The example above is a piece I worked closely with one of our associate producers on. I helped shape the original idea and edited both the video component and written article for publish. It ended up winning a silver 2021 Automotive Heritage Award for "Best Audio or Video Story."
In-Depth "How-To" Content Writing
In 2020, video game streaming was hot. I have a bit of expertise in this area, so I was tasked with starting up and running a weekly gaming livestream for Autoblog. This went hand-in-hand with a large increase in gaming coverage on-site and it allowed me to produce content like the article above on how to start up your very own game stream from home. Of course, this piece of content doubled as commerce content, with affiliate links added where appropriate.
Weekly News Roundup
As mentioned above, gaming coverage became a larger part of Autoblog's strategy around 2020. As such, I started releasing a weekly "gaming roundup" column, focused on racing game news. Above is an example of one such roundup.
Entertainment Media Reviews
Occasionally, I receive download codes for upcoming racing games to review. It's always a pleasant surprise when one really blows me away. The rally racing game "WRC 8" did just that, and I got to write about it in the article above.
